Andrew Bridgen MP is a Putin-loving traitor
he's a snivelling coward who wants to give in to evil
Andrew Bridgen is the MP for North West Leicestershire. He also supports Putin, judging from this tweet (which was a response to a Daily Telegraph headline “Shapps to ramp up support for Zelensky”):
Bridgen complains about the cost of helping Ukraine, but it's only 0.3% of GDP so 99.7% is being spent on other things. If people in the West aren't prepared to pay a small amount to win, and Putin is, then Putin wins and the west loses. While the West has vastly more resources than Russia — NATO’s combined GDP is about 20 times Russia’s — it doesn’t have infinitely more resources, so if Russia is prepared to spend money and the West won’t, then Putin wins.
If Putin wins in Ukraine, he won’t stop there. Maybe his next target will be Moldova, or Georgia. Or maybe it’ll be Kazakhstan. He might even feel bold enough to attack the Baltic states.
War is as much a contest of will as it is of soldiers and machines, and if you lack the will to win, you'll lose. The West needs to get serious about the threat Russia and China pose. If we don't, we won’t fall immediately, but 10, 20, 30 years down the road, our grandchildren might end up in one of Xi’s (or his successor’s) concentration camps.
When Bridgen talks about a “diplomatic solution” he means that Ukraine should just surrender to Putin. I’m sure if Bridgen was PM and negotiated such a surrender he would call it “peace for our time” and would wave a peace of paper at the airport on returning home.
I’m also sure that it Bridgen was PM during the Battle of Britain he would say “I’d like to build more spitfires, but it would cost money, so I’m afraid we’ll just have to surrender to Herr Hitler”. Maybe the new regime would keep him on as a Quisling-style puppet.
So let's be honest here, what Bridgen calls for makes a Russian win more likely; therefore that is what he wants, even if he denies it. This makes him a snivelling traitor and coward who wants Russia to win. I’d like to see him tried for treason, and the death penalty should be an option if he’s convicted. Then maybe he would get what he deserves.
Readers of this blog will know I’m not a fan of the Conservative Party, but if Grant Shapps is giving more support to Ukraine, I wholeheartedly support him.
There is zero evidence he would keep going and many of his words would lead you to believe he understands occupations are a bad idea.
